  1. I THINK A STRAPLESS DRESS OR A HALTER WOULD BE NICE. AND YOUR RIGHT ABOUT DAVIDS BRIDAL I BOUGHT MY DRESS FROM THERE WHICH WAS $700 AFTER THE WEDDING I SAW THE SAME DRESS FOR LESS THAN $300 PLEASE SHOP AROUND FIRST DON'T SETTLE FOR THE FIRST DRESS THAT U THINK LOOKS GOOD ON U. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

  4. I would go strapless corset style top to show off your great upper body and athleticism, and then do an a-line skirt that will somewhat conceal your wider hips, it plays up your best features. Here are some I like:

  5. Your best style would probably be an A line skirt to give room for your hips but a strapless or halter would show your figure on top.

Davids can be good if you have the right consultant.  I went to one and had a terrible time.  I tried a second store and found better dresses and found that the other girl had me in the absolute wrong size.  Once I got a smaller size I was much happier.

Go to a locall shop and take your time looking.

  6. I know you said the davids bridal you wnet to didnt have anything you liked well look online. Since you say you have wide hips get a dress that flows outward like this one maybe: http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns... , http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns... , http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns...

If no David's Bridal try one other store in your surrounding area!

  7. try on a slim a-line or trumpet. they will show off your figure but hide anything you don't want seen. you could go any way with straps.

  8. Bonny is what I got and they have some beautiful dresses. I hated Davids Bridal too...everything in there was hideous. Its really up to you to decide what dress to get because there are many different styles. My favorites are the ones that tie in the back like a corset and a sweetheart neckline. The ties make it very flattering and the sweetheart necklines are always so pretty.

  9. My suggestion.... Get a 2 piece wedding dress.  Definitly a halter with no straps.  The bottom can be your typical wedding dress style (flairing, flowing, what ever your wish)  They tend to be more comfortable to, more flexible for obvious reasons that the top will move with you rather then you not being able to move at all.

Also, maybe a simple white gown that hugs your body all the way down to the bottom and flairs out and trails behind you (mermaid style) If you are worried about your wide hips, you probably wont like it.  I suggest you try one on just for the h**l of it.

Congrats on your wedding and good luck trying to find your perfect dress.
