What kind of weed is this?? Has black powder in it.?

Question

I live in the south. We have these weeds all over our lawn. They get tall stem like shoots and if you touch the head, it has blackish powder in them. My yellow lab kept coming in with black spots on her face and I finally saw how the weeds were everywhere in our neighborhood. Makes it tough to walk out in the yard unless you've just mowed. Any ideas? Thanks
