  1. I would want a couple reds and whites as well as some dessert wines. Fruits, cheeses, meats and crackers the compliment the wines you choose would also be a good idea. Enjoy your party!

  2. A good wine tasting ,invited people expected  that you have a good display of wines and  fruits and some cheeses. You should have a variety of cut fruits ,cheeses and some canape to omit the taste of the wine you are tasting and you can go to the next one with no more taste of the last wine.A good host to explain the wines.Origin, kinds of grapes, vintage year and classifications.

  3. i went 2 one for a christmas party and there was 5 courses and each course had 2 or 3 wines. u ate than drank. after the first course u stand and they said "i u thought u best wine to go with the satay skewers was the semillion, sit down, if u thought the best match was with the verdelo blah blah blah so on and so forth. so start with a few whites than red than dessert wines or fortified. hope u have a great time at the tasting

  4. If I were invited, I hope it's Italian. and I would then expect:

    1. Appetizers : nice selection of cheeses, a fresh calamari salad, and a nice mozzarella salad.

    2. Salad: Fresh garden greens with an Italian Balsamic Vinaigrette.

    3. Dinner: Totally Italian Cuisine.  Pasta with marinara sauce, chicken or veal parmigiano some chicken cacciatiore with baked ziti.

    4. Dessert: a nice tiramasu, with espresso.

And now the wine list: Not necessarily all Italian.

    1. Must have a good Chianti. (DaVinci, Dievole, Carpineto, Ruffino)

    2. A nice lite Dolcetto and a California Pinot Noir or Merlot.

    3. a Spanish Rioja, an amazing pairing of a Spanish wine with Italian cuisine

    4. For the white wine lovers. Pinot Grigio and Gavi from Italy, A nice Chardonnay (Pouilly-Fuisse, Pouilly-Fume) from France and Washington State or New York  Riesling for the sweet wine lovers.

I know this sounds a bit overboard, but it sure would be nice.
