What kind of wood paneling is this?

Unvarnished boards were used as a wall covering in a farm-style store, and they were full of holes, like Swiss cheese. These holes went through the wood at all different angles and were larger than the ones that boring insects make.

Thanks.

  1. could also be a cheap grade of knotty pine - as most of the knots fall out when it is milled thin. Especially if the origional lumber source was a tree the size of a tree limb or the limbs themselves. many small branches hence many small knots that are likely to fall out.

  2. The paneling is custom made I seen it before the holes are knots and others are just put there for the look

  3. POSSIBLY IT'S WORMWOOD??  ARE THEY BIG HOLES OR LITTLE ONES?
