What kind of work do mechanical engineers do straight out of college?

I wanted to go back to school for engineering not just for a better job but because I have a genuine interest in it. My first degree was based in biology/health type classes so the math / physics classes are going to be a big change for me. I've always been good at math though so I think I'll be okay. Enough of my babbling... Anyone care to share what their first job was?
