What kind of work while studying abroad??????????????

Im a comparative literature major from a UC campus in the U.S.A. I would like to study abroad so I can become more fluent in some languages( spanish, french, german). So my question is does it matter what kind of work you get when you go abroad with a university? Can i do barista work in german while studying? or work on a boat in mexico? Also what kind of paperwork would I need? THanks In Advance!

  1. As long as the job involves lots of interaction with local people to enable you to use the language you are sudying.....any should be ok :)

    Its really important to use the language as it makes it easier.

  2. In all instances of studying abroad, regardless of which country you will require a student visa to do so.

    However the requirements for employment, the number of hours you can work and where you can work varies, depending on which country you decide to study in.

    Check with the embassy of the country you are interested in - most have online websites.
