What kind of workouts do boxers do? i want to change my workout up.?

i also want to start boxing too.. so i kinda want to get a headstart.. i have dumbells.. and a universal gym, skipping rope. i plan to get a punching bag in the next month or 2. So what kind of workouts do boxers do? thanks . :)

  1. high intensity interval training. best kind of exercises include jump-rope, pull-ups push-ups, air squats, air lunges, box jumps, sit-ups, reverse sit-ups, knees to elbows, flutter kicks, etc. here is an example of a workout I do...

    run a 400 (.25 of a mile)

    5 pull-ups

    10 push-ups

    15 sit-ups

    all of this for 8 rounds

    most Important part of learning to box is simply getting to the boxing gym and working with a trainer


  2. Run up and down stadium bleachers, tons of crunches mixed with twist crunches, left lifts, dips, swimming, and a lean diet with protein.

  3. at my gym our workout is:

    each round is 3 minutes

    5 rounds shadow boxing

    5 rounds jumprope

    5 round heavy bag

    5 rounds uppercut bag

    140 sit ups

    70 push ups

    run 5 miles
