What kind of yeast does moonshine need?

Making some beer and whiskey and not sure what kind of yeast its talking about

brewers yeast you can get different kinds of yeast from brewers supply houses ( Its legal to make up to 200 gals. a year of beer or wine, fermented, but in the us its illegal to distill,) although I have tried it its very hard to get it right on a small scale. you can make a very powerful "hooch" by using a champagne yeast forcing a higher alcahol content

Do a search for "Turbo yeast".  It's specifically made for this purpose, and will ferment further than champagne yeast.

If your search takes you to the Swedish website (I forget the exact site), this will guide you to a seller.  Or, if you do a search for homebrew shops, some of them might carry it.

The Swedish site also has a good, relatively cheap, set up for distillation, too.  It has an English version.
