What kind/type of bike should i get?

I am going to buy a bike maybe today. I want a bike for the bike trails and that I can ride class on a college campus. What kind should I buy. My price range is less than $500.00

maybe an Iron Horse. But it depends on your age and how tall you are

Look at something call a comfort/trail bike.  It will have the 26" wheels for the bike trails but will have more upright riding position and the tires that are good for the road. You don't want knobby tires on the road.

Most of these bikes have boses (mounting points) for bike racks and fenders.

I'd recommend a hybrid or fitness bike with 700c wheels; they roll much more efficiently than the smaller 26" wheels.
