  1. 4:50

  2. I would probally say sub 5:20

  3. Where do you want to run and do you want a full or partial scholarship?  In general to get a scholarship, you should be one of the top runners at the state level.

For a  Div I school you need to run 5 minutes or better.  The NCAA qualifying standard is 4:49. For Div II or Div III you do not need to run this fast.

You can definitely continue to run track and be a walk on with a slower times.  A lot of track runners get partial scholarships.  If you get a scholarship you will be expected to run both cross country and track.  Div III schools don't give any scholarships for running.

  4. Actually anything under 5:20 will get you recruited anywhere.  Sub 5:10 could get you recruited to Div 1. Sub 5 will get you a scholarship Div. 1. Sub 4:50 is a guranteed scholarship to Div. 1 school.  It all depends though on what school and how much money they have. Also, some years a good school is unpopular, and it will give out money to a girl with slower times than that. Gotta love title 9

    I am D1 female runner
