  1. Hi.  I know you won't like this answer but it is true.  You have to learn everything.  There will be questions about how much the fines and prison times are for drinking and driving.  Those kind of questions do no make you a better driver, but all of the rules and signs and stripes on the road are things you will have to really understand when you are in a car driving.  The test is made to make sure you will be a safe driver after you have practiced with you permit.

You should be studying from the TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY HANDBOOK, the little yellow one.   After you are finished reading the answer, come back and click on this website:  http://www.dmv.org/tx-texas/practice-tes...

Select "Take the DMV.ORG Drivers License Practice Test now"  That will give you a practice test so you can see what the questions will be like.  Good luck.  If you do not pass the first time, study some more and try again another time.  Alot of people have to take it more than one time.

  2. You must know the road signs and what they mean.

You must know who goes first at stop signs when cars are coming from different directions.

You must know about passing others on the highway.

You must know what to do if you have an accident or see an

    accident.

Sorry that is all I have time for now.  Just study, study, study.
