What kinda spider is this??

I was in the pool and this wasp was trying to get in so i splashed it. well it got all pissed off and so i grabbed a pool noodle to kill it and this spider about the size of my hand comes flying off! I screamed so loud and ran as fast as i could back inside. It was light brown-ish, grey-ish and kinda fuzzy. what is this and is it poisonous?

Probably a tarantula; a few have been found near/in swimming pools in California recently.  Check out this website for more info and pictures so you can identify it.  http://www.whatsthatbug.com

most likely a tarantula. as for poison, tarantulas have none. their teeth cant even puncture human skin. they just shred crickets, spit on them and suck up the remains like a shake.
