What does this have to do with food, other than the people who get sick from the hot dogs in the the park.

As far as what crimes happen, just about everything, stabbings, shootings,bikes stolen, rapes.  You name it,it happens.  During the day it's not all that bad,but after stay away.

Central Park is lovely but walk in it and enjoy it during daylight hours. It is not a place to go after dark.

Any crime can happen just be conscious of your surroundings. I often hear about robbery and rape being reported.
