  1. Traffic stops, they call 5 cars, want to tear my jeep apart, thinking I sell drugs because I dress nice and drive a nice car.

Housing, turned down for an apartment the landlord said they had rented it, but I had called 20 minutes prior.

Army, was put in a platoon with all black and Hispanics, we were always the support platoon, (the unit later was busted, had members of some n**i groups, it was a few years ago)

people saying "oh you speak so well" duh, it's English

lots of everyday things that happen and go unnoticed unless your a minority

  2. In my own neighborhood I have seen discrimination based on race, age, gender and wealth (or perceived wealth).

Once people talk and get to know each other as people instead of groups, the discrimination starts to break down, at least on an individual basis.  Increased exposure to people unlike yourself is the way to go.  How would that happen?  I  have no earthly clue.

  3. people  only talk to someone of their own race

  4. When I was younger I was discriminated against because I didn't wear a skirt and high heels. Nowadays I'm seeing s*x and age discrimination a lot. Most of it is being done, believe it or not, people in their 20's and 30's, may be just me but thought that was strange. Most companies have you sign a no tolerance to discrimination, mainly sexual, but then ignore it when it happens. We need tougher penalties for the companies that allow this to happen. Also need to do something about verbal abuse in the work place. Unfortunately no laws there.

  5. I think it dependds on your up bringing and how you come to notice inequality. When growing up I expeerienced a lot of what they call sectarianism. This wasn`t seen as bad as Racism or Religious Bigotry or even such a bad thing back then. In fact in some places it was ok to deny some one a job on Grounds of Religion. We were brought up not to hate the Bigot but the Bigotry when ever we saw it. To challenge the inequality when ever it arose. Now today in the local community, I see inequality for the old and infirm, for groups of youths who want to organise themselves with constructive things to do. Those who have a bad past and want to change their ways. Those who have children and live on their own.

  6. Racism, offence to individual choice - body piercing etc.

We need to stop brain washing people into accepting ulterior definitions void of their own understanding. We bring them into a believing mentality through 'conventional lies', superstitions and cults like religion etc. and teach them to abhor and prejudice those who differ. We teach them to only accept predefined ideas, whether it is of beauty, religion or morality. For this reason, we become offended just because some guy we don't know decide to where a cap on his a$$ instead of his head. We need our own understanding back and freedom - the right of man to choose.

    Peace.
