What kinds of fish are you likefy to catch in the Brisbane River in Australia?,what insects and things to look

Watch out for dropbears in that area and the yowie is a problem too.

I have to admit I googled this.  My dad goes fishing in the river all the time but I have no idea what sort of fish he catches.  I did find an interesting web page though.  As for insects you would get flies, ants and the occasional spider.  There are butterflies and dragon flies too but not as noticeable.

Brisbane River is probably not the best place to go fishing - very urbanised catchment with several industrial and wastewater discharges.

Best getting a boat and getting out onto Moreton Bay.

well as for the fish we catch all sorts bream ,flathead ,taylor ,whiting ,shark , our river is full of all sorts of fish ,my favorite thing is mud crabs mmm beautiful ,as for the insects flies .we have a lot of them and ants mosqueto,s at night ,moths , but they dont annoy too much mainly the flies we have them all over australia ! but i love to fish!
