  1. Gotta go with liver or any other organ meat.

  2. Fried okra and any kind of milk-based gravy. I love okra in gumbos, but fried okra reminds me of soap. Gravy is just gross- it looks like vomit, especially when served over potatoes.

    I also dislike Velveeta cheese (tasteless glue), Wonder bread (tasteless sponge) and any kind of canned soup but they don't really qualify as food in my books.

  3. the asian food, I hate that kind of food, for the strong flavor...are so diferent from the american and mexican food.

  8. Gosh! I just read all of the answers. Some of these I don't know what they are, like Indian food. But I LOVE liver and onions! I do NOT like Spinach unless it is a dip.

    I love almost all Chinese food. And of course, any Cajun food. I eat roasted beef tongue, hogshead cheese, chitterlings, fried pork rinds, venison stew, alligator sauce piquant, any fish, squid, chicken gizzards, crawfish. So, I guess my answer would have to be ~~~~~~~~~

  11. Chilli - don't see the point in putting it into meats, fish or seafood [especially seafood - what a waste] because your mouth is so hot you can't taste anything else.  You might just as well torture yourself by eating just chilli and saving money on the meat.

  13. Chitlins,oxtails,neckbones,hamhocks--Eww... the stuff my grandmother would cook when I would go down south to visit. Why is it that the nastiest foods are the ones that have to sit on the stove and simmer for hours?

  21. I really haven't met an ethnic food as yet that I particularly 'hate', except possibly what might be referred to as our North American "fast foods" -- yuck!!  

    Within my range of experiences, which include:  Asian -- Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamise, Korean, etc.), Mexican (not 'Tex-Mex'), Italian, French (including French-Canadian fare), Greek, West Indian (Jamaican, Trinidadian), and the like, I can say I certainly enjoy some foods more than some others.  But I would really enjoy trying more kinds!!
