Jellyfish population is booming all over the world due to global warming, over-fishing, etc. While some people see the creatures as a bad thing ... can't we just eat them? Asians have this delicious spicy jellyfish cold salad dish - can't we just turn them into that?

  1. You could eat them, but I don't think they would taste so good. In order for a jellyfish to have flavor, you would probably have to season it a lot.

You could only eat the top, squishy part of the jellyfish that doesn't contain the stingers, but somehow eating a jellyfish just doesn't sound appetizing to me.

  2. I suppose we could eat them, but jelly fish have so little nutritive value to humans that why bother?

The chief reason jellyfish populations are exploding is because humans have so heavily over-fished the oceans that the fish that normally keep jellyfish populations under control are now in cans or the freezer section at your grocery store or cat food.

The real answer is to quit scraping the oceans clear.
