What kinds of jobs are there in the Air Force for those in the engineering field?

The AF has engineers that do construction, build airstrips, electrical work, masons, plumbing, carpentry, operate heavy equipment and build roads. They also have land survey crews as well. Now, to be an officer in the AF engineers requires a bachelor's of science in civil engineering.

The USAF is just full of scientist, most exciting are in lasers, metalurgy, aerodynamics, computers.  Most of it is in the Defense related topics.  When you get up in rank, you can actually become the IP or Project managers.

Most of th Engineers in ROTC who I knew wanted to become pilots or work on missle systems.
