What kinds of jobs can 14 years olds get??

Question

I am turning 14 and is planning to get a job soon.I know that teens that age usually have trouble finding jobs cuz ppl usually give jobs to 16 year ols and up....but i need to help my family with thr rising gas prices and store prices......i was thinking of getting a job at my local Peebles and was wondering if it was possible to get a job at somewhere like that.I am not apllying now cuz i dont want to embarass myself if they say im too young.thanks :)

well i am in the same predicament because i am also 14 and am looking for a job

well idk what peebles is.....

but it usually depends on which state you live in

if you live in california like i do

usually the only job you'll be able to find is a sign twirling job

it sucks i know =/

Have you tried asking around for babysitting jobs? They make about $2-$3 hour. Also check with the local elderly and see if they might need help with household things like cleaning, mowing, weeding, or maybe doing some errands for them. My 9 year old helps our neighbor pick up sticks in the yard and helps others clean house and wash windows. The elderly would love the company and the help. In the end you will get to know your neighbors better and you feel good about helping out. I know that don't seem like much but better to start somewhere and work your way up! Alot of people are looking for a good sitter.... I know I do! Good luck!

Mow lawns, start a newspaper route, or start a grocery delivery route.

I have that same ? too! I have been looking for one and these are some of the jobs that i came up with!

Well my current is with my sister. She owns her own buisness and i clean her office once a week. I get 15 bucks every time i do it so i get payed 30 dollars every two weeks. that gets me about 75 dollars a month because of chores around the house too.

You could also try babysitting that gets me money too.

Then my gramma works at a farm store and they get alot of shippings in of new stuff. So when she works i go and price them and put them away.

there is alot of things you can do when your 14

but my best advice is just be a kid and get a job when your old enough.

Go to your neighbors and do the things they don't have time to do:  walk dogs, pull weeds from their flowerbeds, wash their cars, and do a really good job so that others will want you to do it for them as well.  Good luck.
