Such as; marriage license, blood tests, drivers license change etc... anything else you can think of, I don't really know any others I am trying to make some kind of a budget but I am unsure about what I need to include. I need a list with the exact amounts for these types of things. Thanks 10 points to the best answer.

  1. The cost of a marriage license is $20 if you live in-state and no blood tests are needed. Google you the name of your county and the marriage license and you'll be able to find out for sure what the price is (I am not sure if it varies by county). I know there is a fee to change your name but I am not sure what it is. (maybe around 30 bucks), I do know that if your license is due to expire soon you can renue it early and that is free. Don't forget to change you social security card to your new name.

  2. You just need the license it is about $50.00

  3. Hi.  I live in Michigan too!

Look at this link.  It gives the costs of the marriage license and other information.  HOWEVER, I don't know if it is up-to-date or accurate on the price of the license.  I do think that each COUNTY sets their own fees for licenses.  So, call the county that you live in and ask!  The phone numbers are listed at the bottom of the link.

~ Blood tests are no longer required.

~ There is no fee to change the name on your drivers license.  You will need to wait until AFTR the wedding and have the proper forms.

So...the only real "legal" expense is for the marriage license.  Of course, there are lots of other expenses!!  lol

    Good luck in your planning.
