What kinds of metal do magnets stick to?

actually if you could tell what metals do magnets not stick to, would be more helpful.

  1. must contain iron (steel is mostly iron): can be galvanised or powdercoated and they will still work


  2. Iron and steel would be the most prevalent magnetic attractors.

  3. A magnet is any object that has a magnetic field. It attracts ferrous objects like pieces of iron, steel, nickel and cobalt.

  4. It sticks to Iron, Steel And Cobalt.

    It sometimes sticks to Aluminium, but thats only if you've rubbed the magnet on it before hand.

    It DOESN'T stick to copper, silver, gold, ETC.
