What kinds of plug converters should i get?

I'm not sure what wattage i should get for my European plug converters. I know they come in different wattage amounts for different electric items (for charging ipod, hairdryer/straightener, charging cell phone) but I don't know what wattage I should get for each item. I heard if i use the wrong one to charge my ipod, it could blow up!

No someone gave you wrong feedback it is not going to blow up however lower wattage plugs are cheaper and may work fine with ipod
