I'm flying tomorrow and I need to know what stuff I'd be able to bring. Stuff like batteries, iPods/mp3s, contacts (solution included ... or will they take it away?), um yeah. Any additional stuff??

Would I be able to wear my contacts on the plane or no?

As you can tell it's my first time. Thanks for your help!!

  1. Your contacts should be fine, they might get a little dry, so bring rewetting drops.  All of your liquids (drops, contact solution, lotion, toothpaste, etc.) must be in 3 ounce or less containers, and all the containers must fit in a single 1 quart ziploc baggie.

Definitely bring some snacks, especially if it's a longer flight.  Don't be afraid to pack a lunch or dinner even, just remember the liquids rule.  Sandwiches are always a good option.

Bring a book or a magazine or two.  Every airport has a newsstand.  I'm a particular fan of puzzle books.  If you're traveling with someone, bring a deck of cards or a travel size game.

Since it's your first time flying I'll give you a few other pointers.

-Have your ID accessible, it will get checked a couple times.

-Most airlines allow you to carry on one bag, like a small piece of luggage, and 1 personal item, like a backpack or purse.  Check the airline website for dimension requirements.  Larger bags need to be checked, some airlines charge a fee for this.

-Many airports still require you to take off your shoes and put them through the X-ray.  Wear shoes that are easy to take off and put on.

-Drink plenty of water, the air in planes is very dry.  Ask for extra when the beverage cart comes by.

    Have a good trip!

  2. yea tak all of dat...and no dey wont tak ur contacts away...tak som money..som headphones...and 100% cotton clothing..jus in case of anything burning...and portable games if any..some cookies...pencil pens papper..to draw or anything...ur phone jus n case u meet som1 intereting n get der number..

  3. You can take larger bottles of liquids in your checked luggage. Batteries need to be in their original package or in separate baggies so they do not touch each other.  See TSA site below.

  4. you can bring all your batteries and chargers and electronic equipment. they wont say anything to you. if you are bringing a laptop you will need to put it in a tray through the xray machine.

you can bring a mini bottle of contact solution that is less than 3 oz. if your flight is very long your eyes will probably feel dry. i felt this on 10 hour flights - so you can also bring eye drops.

you can bring packaged foods if you want to snack, too. dont forget your ids and ticket info. check tsa's website and your airlines website if you have more pressing questions.
