  1. sheets

  2. You should call the hostess of the shower (her mom, maid of honor, whoever) and ask whether the shower is "personal" or "housewares." It's a personal shower, you can buy gifts just for the bride - fancy body lotion, tasteful lingerie, travel items, scented candles, etc. You can also give housewares items at a personal shower.

If the shower is strictly housewares, you should get something that the couple can use in their home, even if it isn't on their registry. Cute kitchen gadgets, picture frames, a lovely serving bowl or a vase would all make great gifts.

And a gift card (to her favorite store or a place like Target or Crate and Barrel) is always appropriate.

  3. A bridal shower is an event hosted for the bride by a close friend or family member.  The point of the party is to "shower" the bride with gifts for her new household and married life.

Therefore, it's common to give wine glasses, dishes, cookware, fine china, bed linens, bathroom towels, etc.  Most brides make a registry at a store like Target, Macy's or Bed, Bath and Beyond.

The first thing I would do is see if she has a registry.  Her registry is a wish list of the items she'd like for her home.  Find something she's like and that you can afford.   If she has no registry, find a gift that would best suit her personality and would be a good addition to her new life as a wife.   For example, does she love to entertain?  If so, serving dishes or items for entertaining guest are a must.

  4. FUN LINGERIE

They have one that looks like a wedding dress, but its really short and it has matching panties, shoes and a veil.  Really cute.  Great for the honeymoon.

  5. She should have a registry that you can pick something off of.  The idea of a bridal shower is to give the bride and groom things to start their new lives together.  this is usually household items... dishes, towels, bed sheets, etc.

  6. You can't go wrong with anything off of her registry. Then you know it will be exactly what she wants.

  7. a nice set of dishes or a nice comforter set

  8. Alot of people usually run for the registry, but I made my cousin-in-law a beautiful gift basket, and she loved it all. I put in a pretty picture frame, bride and groom teddy bears, book for a happy marriage, a pretty silver tray, a beautiful vase, and matching trinket box, a Mr. and Mrs. Scented Candle,  and a beautiful heart diamond necklace. I wrapped it up nicely, tied a bow around it, and attached two love birds to it. :) It doesn't have to be from her Bridal Registry to be special. Be different, get her something that she didn't pick out herself, she will be pleasantly surprised. :)

  9. Find out if she is registered for the shower. If not then ask the host/hostess if there is a theme (such as a lingerie shower). Failing that then get her something you know she'd like. If you're comfortable getting something off the registery for just her (or if it's not a hen shower) then that is a good way to ensure that she'll like it. Otherwise, pick anything appropriate to her starting her new life.

  10. kitchen supplies, cookware, dishes, a crockpot, etc depending on her registry.

Or if you are really close fun lingerie is much appreciated.
