  1. keep in mind this is all based on boot camp i went through about 5 years ago...  training is 6 days a week, anywhere from 12-16 hours a day.  a lot of it is classroom ( you'll learn military jargon, UCMJ, policies, public affair policies, etc..)  & the rest mostly consists of basic maritime survival, NBC attacks, & general military training (watchstanding, sentry duties, logging records, etc.)  this all used to culminate at a 24 hour event known as "battle stations", where they simulate a "high-stress" environment/situations, & test your ability/willingness to adapt.  it was about the only fun i had while there, also, i think it's 0800-1200??  you have what's called "holiday routine", where the instructors leave, everyone is to themselves, & you can pretty much do what you want.  most guys utilize this time to write letters to girlfriends that are already cheating on them....  have fun, stay motivated, & good luck!!!
