  1. Are you talking about balls or types of volleyball? There is indoor and beach volleyball. Indoor is on a court with 6 players and a full court. Beach is with 2 people on sand and I think the court may be shorter in length.

  2. I think there is two types sand and court volleyball.

  3. are you asking what brands there are...several...wilson,spalding things like that. if your asking about the game its self i have played everything form 2 person up to 6 person vollyball indoors and outdoors...in olympic competition they only have 2 types...2 person and 6 person as thse are they most popular...hope this helps

  4. Kinds as in types of playing?

Well, there is doubles, sixes, quads, and in some parts of the country, triples.  It can be played in sand, hard court, or grass.  I have played them all, and I will tell you they are all fun!!!!  And it is all out there, if you know where to look or know the right people.

If you are speaking of types of volleyballs, there are many - indoor and outdoor types.  The brands are numerous.  It has been my experience that the more money you pay, the better the ball is.  My favs are:  Outdoor - Wilson AVP Gold or Silver.  Indoor - Tachikara.  I also like Mikasa, but Tach is my fav.

  5. brands are tachikara, spalding, mikasa, and some others

    balls:

    -light weight ones: 12u playing

    -setters ball: weigh a lot

-normal leather ones: club and school play

-beach ball: not leather or as hard

-cheap ones: the ones you get from target   or walmart

-serving balls: bigger with large dots to aim for

i have all of them and they are all great for improvement.

type of volleyball: beach volleyball, 4v4, 2v2, school ball, club ball

    good luck

  6. As far as volleyballs goes.

There are cheap practice volleyballs - that can be used anywhere, on any surface - and they can take the punishment.

For real fun, I actually love the Mikasa Training series VUL500, although targeted for under 12's especially it is so lightweight and extra soft (when you don't have too much airpressure in it) it is like playing with a balloon, allows you to do kind of saves, and allows you to add extra spin to it.

Expensive indoor volleyballs should be used indoor only, so that they will last and not wear out.

[Too much air pressure will make any volleyball 'hard' - I prefer soft volleyballs to play with (where you can press your thumbs into it about 1/8th inch or less) so that you will minimise finger injuries from using it] - happens when you doing a 'save' but you're in the wrong position to receive the ball properly, and end up with a partial contact, like on a small finger - ouch!!!.

As far as numbers in the teams playing goes ... It can be dependent upon how many players are present.

    eg. You can play 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 indoor.

For beach anywhere from 2, 3, 4 or 5 a side? The higher number being more of a social, non-competitive beach volleyball game.

It can be so variable depending on how many players you have...

  7. grass, sand, mudd, indoor, doubles triples, or original six on six...

  8. indoor for teams i guess

    outdoor for beach volleyball probably

and then i think theres also for indoor and outdoor

  9. Brands their are many but types basically hard and soft one for practice and one for real matches

  10. brands? mizuno, molten, nike, asics, digss, usavball, spalding, the list goes on and on....
