What kinf of impact do enviromental engineers have in the enviroment?

Like after th do what they are supposed to do , what kind of difference , have they made in enviroment ?

They design, build and maintain structures that help the environment. Eg a geo - barrier to prevent the spread of contaminants in ground water, or a reed bed system to absorbheavy metals from groundwater. That sort of thing. Oh could be involved in, landfill sites (waste tips, petroleum industry clean up, containment, nuclear industries, noise prevention (acoustic bunds etc.). So they are like a coushin between human kind and the environment.
