What l realy need to know is details about my daughter who is an american citizen.?

l mean what right she has as a citizen,how she can help her family as a citizen in the usa.and at what age this can be done because right now she is 10years old but l like to prepare myself for things to come.

I think the youngest age that she can petition for a parent to join her is 21. She would most likely need to be able to show that she has home for you to stay in and that she can also afford to support you financially. :-)

Julie-if you want to send me an email with my specific questions, I'll try to give you a complete answer.  Your daughter's rights as an American citizen could take pages to write.  Click on my name and you'll see my email address.  She has so many rights I couldn't list them and I'm imagine you have some knowledge of freedom of speech, freedom of religion and basic liberties.  If you are interested in future immigration, I do not hold that against you or judge you for your desire to learn about your options..

She can only do it when she's 21 and able to proove she can support herself and you. Guess that may put a damper on her wanting to go to college.. I mean having to support your selfish ambitions like that especially when her mother is too lazy to do it herself.

from what I have read, a child can only sponsor her/his family in to the USA after they reach the age of 21 and even then she / he has meet ALL the requirements, job money etc etc.

edit to lady below me, my son is a full citizen as he was born in the USA, I chose to return to the UK with him and did not persue things, so he is and I am not..............

Is she an anchor baby? Did you put her up for adoption and now want her to get you into the U.S.? We need more information. I think you should stay where you are and leave your daughter alone.
