Question:

What lake area in Italy is the best area to live all year around for an American?

I have been reading up on Lake Maggerio, Lake Iseo and others in Italy. I would like to live in town that has a social scene all year around and doesn't close down in different seasons. I need to be close to Milan. I love to shop, kayak, ski, camp, and much more.

    I would suggest you have a look at the Lake Como area.

    This is a very nice part of nothern Italy and relatively close to big cities.
