  1. Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas for one. I also think Lake Ouachita is considering it. Log on to the Arkansas game and fish commission site for more info. ( check to make sure yours was not on the recall list issued last week - there was a manufacturer that had to recall a bunch - but I can't remember the name.)

  2. The ban to watertubing refers only to the new form of tubes used in the extreme watersport known as kite tubing.   This refers to a type of tube that is designed to lift off the water and has been known to throw a rider dangerously.   Two deaths have already been blamed on the sport.

Lakes in Arkansas and Missouri where the ban is now in effect include Beaver, Table Rock, Bull Shoals, Norfork, Clearwater,GREERS Ferry, Nimrod, Blue Mountain, Millwood, Dierks, De Queen and Gillham, as well as the Arkansas River in Arkansas.   I am not from the area so I am unsure which are in Arkansas, sorry.

Sounds like fun to me; just can't do it in: Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Wisconsin...

  3. the best lake in arkansas...greers ferry lake... does not ban tubing.
