  1. The Swiss speak Schweizerdeutsch, a German dialect.  You will also find French, Italian and German speaking areas.

  2. yes, switzerland speaks french and german, and their own dialogue of german

  3. To be precise: 70 percent speak German, daily language, however, is Alemanic or "Swiss-German", NOT a German dialect but an independent language linguistically (in the North), 20 percent speak French (in the West), 4 percent speak Italian (in the South) and 1 percent speak Raeto-Romansh (in the South-East). Now, the choice is up to you :-) You can study the first three languages at the universities of Zurich, Berne, Basle, Geneva (but, to be 100 pc sure, check with their websites), Raeto-Romansh courses are given once and then at Zurich university. I can recommend to study languages in Switzerland since the level at universities is very high. You also can practice the languages every day in the whole country - people often speak two, three or even more languages.
