  2. "matsuri bayashi" means 'festival ensemble' and is a kind of music in Japanese Shinto religious art.

  3. "Bayashi" never used itself only. Its means dolls.

    Especially, It used in Japanese girl's festival called "hinamatsuri" in March.

    In that festival, they use the dolls "gonin bayashi" mean as if 5 people are playing instruments such as Japanese style of flutes and drums and celebrate to girl's happy future.

    And that used in old rituals also.

    When in ritual's ceremony, they are human instead of dolls.

    It is coming from "kabuki", Japanese traditional art.
