  1. the old school way was like teaching french at primary school, but now has become english, even at junior high...

at high school we are used to learning english as first foreign language...

people who go to languages high schools usually learn english, french, spanish and german!

at university you can chose the languages you like the most!

    ciao!

  2. English believe it or not.  English is taught in school.

  3. I suppose English would be more popular. Many young Italians study it at school (as well as other languages), English words are constantly used in advertising & household technology and English language music is always on the airwaves. All the same if you speak some Spanish (and no Italian) you'll get by better than just speaking English.

  4. I would guess it would be italian since thats what Italians speak. even though spanish is similar to italian. Anyway between those two it would be english.

  5. English has now been introduced in Italian schools quite efficiently, and most Italians will be able to at least utter a few words if you approach them in English. Spanish and french, popular in many other countries, are slightly less popular. Speak English

  6. i'm italian! i know only english because in the schools theachers teach at students only english!(and not so well!)

  7. italian

  8. Young Italians may understand a little English since it is taught in school. But, since both Italian and Spanish have the same latin roots, Italians usually understand Spanish more easily as words are very similar.

  9. English, for sure.

  10. English first and then french

  11. Ciao, I'm Italian..

Italians study English and French at primary and secondary school, so people should speak them enough well.

Spanish has got many words look like Italian but it's not the same. At language universities people learn Spanish.

And people who want to learn language usually prefer English.

I hope that it can help you..

    Ciao!

  12. English is today taught in all primary and secondary school.

So we all should speak and understand quite well.

I said "should" because unfortunately the pronunciation is very difficult to us, so sometimes it happen that we understand more  Spanish (language that rarely is taught in secondary schools) than English that we have studied for years.

    It's weird but it's true!

  13. nothing of these...i'm a italian teeneger.....and i'm not very well in english but, in italy any people dont understand english....but in veneto someone understan spanish

  14. italian is the most popular but spanish is very close and if you know spanish you can pick up italian easly. there are more people that speak english then spanish if you are in the tourist areas..
