  4. THAT IS THE STUPIDEST QUEST ION I HAVE READ(DON'T MEAN TO BE RUDE OR NOTHING)ON YAHOO DUH FRENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(SO... ENGLISH TOO)

  5. Are you for real?

I suppose what you really want to know is whether you can get by with just English.

In which case, that is what you should have asked.

  6. We all speak French.

You then have some local languages which are still learned by a few people, like Basque, Provencal, Breton... as secondary language. Alsatian German is more widely used by the Alsatians but they still all speak French as first language.

French people have usually to learn a foreign language at school, many choose English but it doesn't mean that they all can speak it or understand it. The most popular languages after English are German and Spanish, a lot of time chosen as a second foreign language.

  7. French =]

There are other regional ones though, including Basque, Alsatian, Catalan, Corsican, and Provencal.
