I'm looking into getting a Mac Bookk laptop from Apple and I was wondering if there is a big difference between 1 GB and a 2GB memory and the same thing goes for the 120GB hard drive vs. 160GB hard drive and is it really worth the extra money?

  1. if you are going to be using a lot of high end video processing software, go for the 2GB of memory. The size of the hard drive you need also depends on what kind of files you will be creating. If you will use the internet, a word processor, and a few low end image processing applications, and you don't keep a lot of music and videos on your laptop, you only need the 120GB drive. BUT, you may want to splurge on the bigger drive.

    MOST IMPORTANT: get AppleCare!

  2. I got the MacBook from Apple my junior year of college last year, and it has been nothing but awesome.

As a student, you probably already have a flash drive anyway, so the difference in memory might not matter.

Also, there is a slim chance you will even use all of your memory anyway.
