Look for the features instead of the brand name. HP will be a best buy because of its value for money compared to the others. Toshiba generally offers lots of features for a lower price, but the market for HP is much stable. So go for HP

There are no such thing as a best laptop. People are just sometimes drawn to certain brand but the bottom line is this make your purchase base on features you need for the optimum use and performance at the lowest cost or best value and a good to execellent tech support rating for this product and that will be your best laptop...

That is a subjective question. But in terms of quality, Japanese brands like Sony and Toshiba are the best. So you can pick either the Sony VAIO if you can afford it or the Toshiba which is less expensive.
