Once used only by travelling business people, laptops are now a great computing solution for everyone, from high-powered executives travelling First Class to families wanting a PC to use at home. Whether you want something portable just so that you can move it from room to room, or need a very lightweight workhorse because you're constantly on the road, there's a laptop out there that's right for you.

    Hope it helps!

  2. IBM or HP

  3. Laptops and notebooks are exactly the same thing. Simply two words that mean the same thing. Those microsoft programs are called "Microsoft Office" this is purchased separately for roughly $150 USD. I suggest an Inspiron 1525 from www.dell.com, this is what I am using and it works great. Configure it with the MS office option and 2gb of ram, and a large harddrive. That should work fine.

  4. Laptop is just a another saying of notebook. I would suggest ASUS, my computer brand. :)

  5. You Will Buy IBM Lenovo T- 61,with 2 GB RAM and 160 GB Hard Disk

Everything can install on it, Buy Windows XP or VISTA,

the difference between a laptop and a notebook

    notebook computer

(n.) An extremely lightweight personal computer. Notebook computers typically weigh less than six pounds and are small enough to fit easily in a briefcase. Notebook computers use a variety of techniques, known as flat-panel technologies, to produce a lightweight and non-bulky display screen.

In terms of computing power, modern notebook computers are nearly equivalent to personal computers. They have the same CPUs, memory capacity and disk drives. However, all this power in a small package is expensive.

Notebook computers come with battery packs that enable you to run them without plugging them in. However, the batteries need to be recharged every few hours.

    laptop

(n.) A small, portable computer — small enough that it can sit on your lap. Nowadays, laptop computers are more frequently called notebook computers, though technically laptops are somewhat larger in size than notebooks, in both thickness and weight.

  6. Laptop = notebook.

You may try the Dell website: www.dell.com

They always have specials and you can customize your laptop. Be careful though: DO NOT ADD THINGS THAT U DON'T NEED!

Make sure you have Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.

Mine is a Windows Vista and I love it!

    Good luck and happy shopping!!!
