Question:

What laptop should I get for college?

I need a new laptop for college. I want something that is small and portable. I don't want a laptop with 15.4 inch screen. 12 inch maybe? I also need a long battery life along with wireless connection. Those are the 3 main things that I'm looking for. Any suggestions to what I should get?

Decent processor speed and RAM preferably.

  1. Acer has the highest performance-to-price ratio, from my years of experience with Acer, Lenove, HP and Dell laptop PCs. It means, for same money you may get a better configuration on Acer than on other brands, when of course, the sacrifice may be seen on quality side. For good quality, go for HP. I don't have experience using Sony, but my feeling is Sony Vaio is too fashionable to be a study PC. It may be good for multi-media and pleasure though.

  2. Mac

  3. An Acer or a Dell. I wouldn't go with a mac, their overpriced for their specs.

  4. macbook

  5. Macbook.

  6. go for vaio or acer...

  7. DO NOT GET SONY VAIO my brother bought one and it's only a year old. & it's broken by tiself maybe about 6 times. Must be why the company broke down. I prefer HP. It's really fast and easy to work with.

  8. dell xps 1330 sounds lik a good bet. thats gonna b my next lap top

HP Compaq NX6120 or Presario C700

  14. dell xps m1330 or HP Pavilion tx2500z

or if you really want portability theres the voodoo envy 133

your college should tell you what they recommend and be able to get you a discount on the laptops they recommend

  15. You should go for a Dell laptop. They have all different types and you would be able to find one you like. I got a Dell and it's really good. I recommend it.

  16. I would go with a DELL. They have good prices for the performance you get out of them. Don't get a Mac, you don't need it, for regular use, they are way overpriced for their specifications (cpu speed, ram speed, etc.). Unless you are video editing or audio editing, Macs are pretty much useless.

  17. well definetly macbook there awsome but the battery life is not great...but everything else fits your describtion really there awsome

  18. Check out the Gateway products. Gateway has been named over again the 1st in successful inventions like the Tablet PCs, projection screens, wide-screens, and dual-core processors, and also created the website Alien-ware which drifted of to a billionaire website. Well-respected computers.

Security, Performance, gaming, corporate network, college-friendly, and most of all, user-friendly. NEVER crashes, only freezes. if it detects a problem, it will notify you first. People are always bought in to survey and poll the computers to make the products better than what they are. The research is faster than the selling of te computers and they never stop thinking. it is a lil pricey but is worth every penny for the last 10 years.

Gateway.com is where it's at. I know cuz i own 3 of the best computers on the face of the planet.

  21. MACBOOK

  22. I think the MAC is offering a promotion to anyone buying a macbook. I think you get a itouch and a printer for free if you buy the macbook. If you don't know a lot about computers and is more of an art student, I think the macbook offers a pretty good battery life. I know there are many drawbacks but mine lasted a long time. I had a pc before and everytime it beaks down, I could never find someone who can help me fix it, or that I have to bring it to a shop which would rip me off. If you can find dependable people to fix your computer, I think hp laptops are not bad.
