What laws are there when someone needs medical treatment and has been sentenced to jail time?

if a medical condition that is a risk of becoming terminal, and requires, diet , special bed, and medications to control, what is law in a pre sentencing proceedures

  3. state is supposed to take care of sick inmates at their expense either in the prison or a hospital. Depending on situation may help with plea bargain etc

  4. It depends upon the state you live in. In most states, the person who is in pre-sentencing, should talk to their atty and bring documentation proving the medical condition. The attorney will then show it to the judge, and the judge would have to see to it the person received the appropriate medical attention he or she needs.
