  1. Imperialism started by the Europeans

    - To expand their territory

    - Get access for raw materials

    - Slaves

    - Spread Christianity

refer back to "GOLD, GOSPEL, GLORY"

Collapse because during WW II Most of the European Nations that "own some nations" focused in the war...to name some of the biggest countries; Great Britain, The Netherlands, France, US etc (Allies) in fighting the Axis power; Germany, Italy, USSR & Japan. Allies suffered great loss before US joined in at the same time all the colonized nations felt the weakness and tried to gain their independence...a lot of countries were succesful because of the help from Soviet Union or Axis Powers but some countries remained as a commonwealth such as Australia, Hongkong, etc. However after the United Nations (UN) was built the idea such an imperialism is considered wrong...all nations should have their own independende and so on...

I think that's about it...That's just a quick recap from me to give you the idea of it....for further info you can try wikipedia...

hope it helps a little bit

  2. Nationalism led to the rise of imperialism.

Weakened nations (post WWII) and demand for independence by colonized territories led to the collapse of imperialism.
