  1. it's thought that when a star goes supernova it blows out heavier elements, like iron (not all do of course itwould depend on the make up of the particular star) which don't coelesce with the other spacial debris when it forms a new star... so it's left over and it will coelesce with other heavier elements over time and there you go.

correction: it's not just when they go supernova... forgot stars like our sun that can't go supernova throw off their outer layers durring their death throws.

  2. Heavier elements ( like Helium, silicone. Iron... )  are created inside Stars. These elements are ejected from these Stars when they go supernova. They are ejected into space and are the stuff used to form all the objects in the universe

  3. ALL elements come from the reaction going on in stars. Elements form from the tremendous heat and pressures and then the dying or exploding of stars as they give off their outer layers into space. It has happened billions of times.  The first element formed from the BIG Bang , If you Believe in that theory , was hydrogen, the most abundant element in the cosmos.  It gets turned into helium. that gets turned into other elements all from stars like our Sun living and dieing. As The late Carl Sagan said " We are all made of star stuff."
