  2. It is 16, you will have to do a CBT and display L plates.

    Gilera do great scooters.

  3. You only need to be 17 to ride a moped or scooter on a provisional licence, however you need to have 'L' Learner plates on the scooter. ;)

  4. You can ride a restricted (that is restricted to 30mph) moped at 16 on l plates.

    You will need to do a Compulsory basic Training course which takes a day. This then lasts fro 2 years when , unless you have passed a test in the meantime, you will have to take it again.

    As mentioned, try and stick with Italian (Gillera, Vespa etc) or Japanese (yamaha Suzuki etc) or maybe Peugeot the French make.

    Try to avoid cheap Chinese models as these are sometimes made of inferior parts and let you down. Parts can also be a nightmare.
