I have started a cleaning business, and the company I clean for hasn't paid me. It has been 1 month and 2 weeks now. They are always late paying their vendors. What should I do? Should I send them a certified letter, requesting payment? What should I do? I need the best advice that will work? They currently are the only source of income that my business has coming in.

  1. Only a lawyer will scare these guys! If you have a letter written by a lawyer, your cheque will probably arrive a day later. The cost of a lawyer will be about $500. If you sign up with Prepaid Legal, this service is free, and they will only charge you $25 per month. Check it out - and get the money you deserve right away!

  2. I guess they are allowed by law to pay within three months. That's available in trucking industry, not sure if there the same rule for cleaning... probably you should contact your lawyer...
