What length pool cue should someone of 4foot8 have?

Looking to buy my son a cue for christmas to get him into the sport, he's 4foot8 and i have no idea what length (and prehaps weight) would best suit him!

  1. Unless you have one custom made, you won't find a cue that's not really, really poor quality less that 57 inches, so don't worry about the length. It won't be long before he's plenty tall enough for a standard cue anyway. Just try to find the lightest cue you can (around 17oz), and he should do fine with it.


  2. I was just at a birthday party Sunday where the little girl that turned 7 was given a custom made pool stick (in pink) to suit her size.  I don't know where she got that one from, but I found this website with a "contact us" link at the top, maybe you could ask them.  Good luck.

  3. If you dont want a serious cue just buy one from wal mart  they are pretty much standard size they have a childrens cue but I have never looked at 1

    If a more serious gift buy a standard cue 57-58 in belive me he will grow into it in no time .

    Sounds like home my son's name is Jake and I bought my Grandson one a while back in standard size he does ok with it he is moving back on the grip already
