  1. 95% of 2 piece cues are 58 inches. One piece cues and a handful of 2 piece cues are 57 inches. It is not uncommon for custom builders to make cues as long as 60 inches and as short at 56 inches.

As far as what you should use, it's mostly personal preference. People who use compact, snooker like mechanics or short people will often feel more comfortable with shorter cues. Tall people, or people who tend to grip a 58 inch cue towards the back of the butt will often benefit from using a longer cue. But there is no hard and fast rule. Use what you like and what you're comfortable with.

  2. 57 inches is the standard lenght.

Players, depending mostly on their arms length and their height may prefer a larger or a shorter one.

It's all about finding the right feeling  when the cue is on your hands.

  3. The older cues are mostly 56, more modern 58. Some use longer yet, I have a 60 Black and Macdonald

  4. 57 or 8 inches is considered standard

Grips vary greatly But the sticks dont

  5. Most lengths are fairly standard, but your main focus should be a weight you are comfortable with. A 'Sneaky Pete' would be perfect for you. Google it :-)
