  1. A snowboard doesn't know how tall you are - it makes more difference how much you weigh and what type of riding you will be doing.

Try this snowboard size calculator that will also give snowboard suggestions:

    Good Luck

  2. Depends what you're riding it for.  I'm about 5'8" or 9" and I ride a 155 all over the mountain.  If you're going to be in powder, get a longer one, if you're going to be in the park a lot, get a little shorter one.

Mouth and eyes as the rule of thumb?!  What the heck, it's chin and nose, and that's only for beginners to get a general idea.  My 155 comes up to my lower lip to give you an idea.

  3. When standing up, it should fall anywhere between your mouth and your eyes.    Longer (eye level) will faster and more stable, shorter (mouth level) will be more maneuverable.  Since you are apparently a beginner, you won't notice much difference either way.

  4. If you are a beginner, get a 155, if you are experienced, maybe get a 160 or162.

  5. I would also agree with the above and try a 155, but if you are a heavier weight, you might want to bump it a size to support you better.  Remember that weight also plays a great role in what size board to get.

I have a friend that is like 5'4 but weighs about 180 and im sure she would brake the board if it was based on her height and not weight....lol
