I'd like to get my fromt window's tinted, I'm just wondering what level to get to prevent the UV rays coming through too much, but still give me good visibility to reverse at night etc?

  1. Check the position regarding the law and tinting of front windows (Windscreen & front side windows)

Why do you need your front windows to reverse?  That's a new one on me!

  2. In the UK, there is a maximum level of tint that you can legally apply to the front windows.  Any darker and your car will become a police magnet.

  3. It really depends on the state laws. Like Washington, last time I checked was 20%, but I know 15% is pretty good. Not too dark but not light enough to look like nothing is even there.

  4. If you are getting your FRONT windows tinted.............how is that going to affect your visibility when REVERSING at night??

  5. Need your state to help you the legal way..................

  6. 35% tint is great for that. All of the window tinting shades usually offer 99% UV protection. 20% tint is good if you want it semi-dark, but usually this is not legal in most states. 35% is less recognizable and usually won't get you pulled over. Anything less than 20% tint is too dark to see out of at night, and you'd have to use your side mirrors instead.

  7. Depends on your state's laws. Here in Florida I'd recommend 35% the whole way around.

  8. Have a look here (took me 10 seconds on Google) -
