What licenses do I need to import antiques from other countries?

I would like to start importing some antiques from another country (Mexico only right now) do I need Licenses, special permits, etc?

  1. You will need a Customs Broker to handle the paperwork on both sides of the border. If the items are true antiques there is no duty on them as far as US Customs is concerned.


  2. Customs broker will help you. For info on duty, licenses, etc. look at the US Dept. of Commerce for overall picture.
