  1. I think vegan.

  2. Vegan is healthier and better since it eliminates all animal products.

  3. Vegan

  4. It would be much easier and healthier to be a vegetarian as opposed to a vegan.  Vegans consume/use no animal products whatsoever, and it's nearly impossible to get the proper nutrition your body needs.  Vegetarians still use animal products, and that makes it much easier to get the nutrients you need.  I would suggest getting a book on human nutrition and reading and learning about what your body needs, how nutrients are processed, etc.  It really is fascinating, and is the best way to educate yourself to make the right decision.

  5. its not about what is better it should be more for your own personal beliefs and how far your willing to go and what you are comfortable with

    you should research these more

    go to the following sites

vegan for me when i researched it as my personal choice because im buddhist so i dont believe in harming animals at all as well as im an enviornmentalist and animal activist and i didnt agree with the cruelty taking place in the dairy industry as well as egg industry and though being vegetarian was not enough especially when i found out people do not need any animal products at all to substane themselves let alon survive basically you need to follow your heart people can pick such a big decision for you and research and get books to help you out it makes it so much easier

  6. you have to give up meat to be a vegetarian. and all meat and dairy 'products' to be a vegan.  so to be a vegetarian you cannot eat a steak but you can eat eggs and drink milk. if you're a vegan you cant have any of the above mentioned.

you HAVE to do research on a healthy vegetarian diet. you can get some nice answers here on yahoo but its your responsibility to know how to have a nutritious diet no matter what lifestyle you choose.

as for protein sources. legumes, beans, nuts.

  7. Vegans don't eat anything made with animal products. No milk choclate, no smoothies and nothing made with dairy or meat. I'd rather be a vegatarian.

  8. From a practical standpoint, vegetarian. Eggs and dairy provide essential nutrients that are not available in plant-based foods no matter what vegans say to the contrary.

But I wouldn't be so squeamish about eating meat. Humans evolved as meat eaters and the ideal human diet includes a lot of animal products, fish, eggs, organ meats, fruits, and root vegetables. IOW, what a cave man would eat.

  9. Start as a vegetarian. While there are people who start out as strictly vegan and are successful, I believe they are in the minority. It is easier to be a vegetarian and then decide later is you want to go all the way. Also, you really need to learn how to cook. There aren't really many very restaurant options and you can't eat salad for every meal without going completely bonkers.

While I can live happily vegetarian, I found that veganism was too extreme for me. There weren't too many recipes that I found palatable.
