-detachment sensation from the world

-feeling as though you are in a different realm

-feeling as though you are detached from the world, but not completely

-things look alittle distorted, ie. extra bright

  2. it sounds pretty much like depression when you get that floaty feeling

That sounds like a dissociative disorder.  You could feel like you are another person or looking down on people.  What you are describing are also big symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.  If something traumatic recently happened to you or if you are experiencing these symptoms, I would seek consultation with a psychiatrist right away.

  4. A sense of unreality is....... definitely depression and if that's how your feeling you need to see your doctor for treatment.

You may find that this is depression.  Go to your GP, he may prescribe you a course of anti-depressant medication (these days side effects of anti-depressant are quite minimal).  Also your GP may also referred you to your local community mental health team where your mental health would be assessed by a psychiatric nurse.  Your GP may also refer you to a consultant psychiatrist for assessment and a review of medication.
